The Cabinet Samman participated to the first information meeting the ANSSI held on the future EU certification schemes
Following the ANSSI’s (the French Cybersecurity Agency - Autorité nationale de la sécurité des systèmes d’information) call for expressions of interest, on September 5th, the Cabinet Samman participated to the first information meeting it held on the certification schemes that could be elaborated after the adoption of the proposed Regulation on ENISA, the “EU Cybersecurity Agency”, and on Information and Communication Technology cybersecurity certification (EU Cybersecurity Act). The aim of the call is to identify the stakeholders that wish to apply the future certifications (assurance levels basic and substantial) and to collect their recommendations on their elaboration.
The proposed EU Cybersecurity Act Regulation is undergoing the ordinary legislative procedure at EU level. Member States in the Council reached a general approach, whereas the European Parliament should hold a vote on September 12th, with a view to enter inter-institutional negotiations (trialogue) on the 13th. The EU institutions seek to adopt the Proposal by the end of the year.
