Appointed Prime Minister on March 31st, 2014, in replacement of Jean-Marc Ayrault, Manuel Valls has nominated his a new government, announced on April 2nd by the Presidency of the Republic. Our analysis of the new Government, as well as the biographies of the two incoming Ministers, in the memo below.

This "streamlined" government (at least until the appointment of the State Secretaries) and still respectful of gender equity, only displays two new personalities:  Ségolène Royal, as Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Engery, and François Rebsamen, as Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Dialogue.
